Markets — Pattern Detection Overview
The ohlc-service detects three families of patterns from OHLC candlestick data. All detection begins with swing-point extraction; harmonic and structure patterns are built directly on those pivots, while candlestick patterns operate on raw candle bodies and wicks.
Pattern Families
| Family | Description | Patterns |
|---|---|---|
| Harmonic | 5-point XABCD structures defined by Fibonacci ratios | Gartley, Bat, Butterfly, Crab, Shark, Cypher |
| Structure | Multi-swing price-action formations | ABCD, Three Drives, Double Top/Bottom, Head & Shoulders |
| Candlestick | Single-, two-, and three-candle reversal signals | Hammer, Doji, Engulfing, Morning/Evening Star, 3 White Soldiers, and more |
